Longanisa Breakfast Plate

This is one way to make a good breakfast. It is easily doubled or tripled to make more. You can choose your favourite longanisa, hot or sweet, they are both really tasty for breakfast!


2 tsp Cooking Oil
3 or 4 Longanisa Sausage
1 tbsp Canola Oil
1 Egg, beaten
3 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 cup Rice, cooked
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Green Onion, sliced
2 Egg, soft boiled Cut in half
1/2 cup Tomato, cut into wedges


  1. Heat the grill to medium and brush with oil. Cook sausages according to package directions. Set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat the oil on medium low. Add the beaten egg and scramble fry until it is almost set. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about another minute.
  3. Add the rice and salt and stir. Increase the heat to medium and continue to stir the rice mixture until it begins to get crispy. About 5-6 minutes
  4. Stir in the green onion and remove from the heat. Add the crispy garlic rice to the plate and top with the longanisa, tomatoes, and the soft boiled eggs.
