Chili Oil Sauce

Great to serve as an appetizer at your next get together. Serve this dip along side your favourite Siwin’s product, prepared in your favourite way according to package directions. You don’t need to always just have traditional dip, but you can.


Ingredients

2 tbspVegetable Oil
1 tspChili Flakes
1/4 cupSoy Sauce
Rice Vinegar2 tbsp
Mirin2 tbsp
Water2 tbsp
Green Onion, thinly sliced2 tbsp
Garlic Cloves, minced2
Chili Oil, from above2 tsp
Ginger, minced1 tsp


Instructions

  1. Place the chili flakes in a heat proof bowl or ramekin. In a small pan, heat the oil about 2 minutes on medium heat. Pour the hot oil onto the chili flakes. Let it cool. The oil can be stored in an air tight container in the fridge for about 3 days.
  2. Combine the 8 ingredients into a small bowl. Whisk to combine well. Set aside for 30 minutes for flavours to combine. Serve with longanisa or potstickers. Makes about ¾ cup
  3. Can be stored in an airtight container for about 5 days in the fridge.
